  • Vibration transmitted through the machine frame into the cabinet is real, and datasheets state it very inconsistently. Look for MIL-STD-810G or a Grms figure on each machine’s page — the filter above cannot check this criterion.
  • Spinning hard drives fail fast under vibration — use SSDs, and screw-locking connectors.
