Machine vision & multi-camera

Visual inspection, code reading and dimensional measurement with GigE Vision industrial cameras. Each camera needs its own network link so they don’t fight over bandwidth, and usually needs power over that same cable (PoE) to save one more wire to a hard-to-reach spot.

A compact inspection station: one Panel PC both takes the camera feed and displays the result right there — a fit for one-or-two-camera stations beside the line, with no separate processing machine.

Network links for the cameras. GigE cameras still need their own network link whether or not the machine has a screen. A Panel PC qualifies when it has several LAN ports built in, has PoE, or has a slot (E variant) for an extra network card.

Where people get caught out

Things the filter above does NOT catch. Read before you commit.

  • A Panel PC has no room for a discrete GPU card. For heavy deep-learning algorithms, put a separate processing machine in and let the Panel PC display results only — see the Industrial computer tab.
  • A PoE card powering the cameras means adding the camera load to the power budget — run the power calculator before choosing.
