A machine has a fault and we need engineering support. What information should we prepare to get it resolved quickly?

Most troubleshooting time is lost going back and forth over information. Preparing the following shortens it considerably:
1. The full model name (model and order code) and the serial number on the label.
2. The symptom: when it happens, how often, and any error messages. A screenshot or short video is worth more than many lines of description.
3. Recent changes: new software, Windows updates, added devices, relocation, a changed power supply.
4. Environment: supply voltage, temperature around the machine, and whether it is near drives or motors.
5. What you have already tried and the results.
6. System logs if available: Event Viewer on Windows, journalctl on Linux.
If controlled remote access is possible, many software and configuration issues can be checked without shipping the machine.
