Fault diagnosis

Answer a few questions to narrow down the cause. The steps follow the order technicians actually use: rule things out from the outside in, from cheap to expensive.

Measure the voltage at the machine’s power input — is it at the right level?

Use a multimeter right at the terminal block on the machine, not at the PSU output.

No voltage, or much lower than expected Correct level but the machine still won’t start Voltage drops the moment the button is pressed
Before opening the machine. Disconnect power, wait for capacitors to discharge, and photograph the current wiring. If the machine is under warranty, call us first — opening it yourself may void the warranty.
