What to do

Capacitive touch is very sensitive to water and coverings

  1. Dry it completely, including the bezel around the screen edge
  2. Remove thick films — anything over 1mm blunts capacitive touch
  3. Users wearing thick gloves need glove-capable touch or a resistive screen
  4. Some machines have a water-rejection mode that ignores touches caused by water

Before opening the machine. Disconnect power, wait for capacitors to discharge, and photograph the current wiring. If the machine is under warranty, call us first — opening it yourself may void the warranty.
